I have a oliver 1850 and I found a turbo off an MF 750 combine. Are these the TO4 turbos in the these combines? And what do you think would be a good suit, and what other models could I look for turbos off of? I want to build the oliver for mainly tractor pulling.

Thanks,

Mike

Just a bit of forwarning. Non turbo Perkins 354 from the factory can not handle a turbo very well. You'd be much better off in the long run to find a factory turboed 354 as it has a hardened crank, and a more advanced lubrication system for the pistons and connecting rods, the heads have renewable valve seats. The timing and injection system is also different. something like 300psi higher opening pressure on the nozzles for the turboed engines. You can also get a lot more HP out of a factory turboed 354.

Have seen two kinds of turbos on the 750, the one I had was a Switzer same as Holset and My brother inlaws had the T0 4, was a later 750.Have seen one 1850 with a combine turbo it sat outside of the hood.To get one under the hood may have to use a White 105 system.Saw one other 1850 that pulls he had a 372 perkins out of a 750 with turbo added.
