Wanting info on massey 44 Hi Alt. Dont see any physical difference. clean straight tractor runs good, and looks good. for sale. Mainly need some info on it. Would be interested in trading for Versatile 118, 125, or 145 Versatile.

Per my Massey Ferguson Owners Manual, high altitude models had higher compression (8.0:1 vs. 7.0:1), different carb and timing settings to compensate for the reduced power at higher altitudes. They also stated that these tractors were not to be operated below 4000 ft elevation. This was based on 82 octane fuel, so....
