I have an old model 22 and would like to put on a 3-point hitch. Specs say to use Webster pump model 2hc1-3. Would a pump off of a model 44 or old combine work? Some 44's and combines around here but no 22's.

Try to find the pump off of a 22, Most 22's had hydraulics. The pump would mount in front of the Gov. on the front of the gear cover. The 22 you have most likely has a cast cover over the hole where the pump would go.

Nope, the 22 had a Continental 4-cylinderflat head engine and the hydraulic pump was mounted at the front right side, just on the other side of the governor I believe. The 44 (overhead valve engine)had a pump mounted on the left front at the location where you add oil to the engine. No interchange possible there, totally different engines and pumps.
