Perkins diesel oil pressure

The 152 Perkins diesel in my MF 150 has a strange problem. The oil pressure seems to be getting higher. I swapped gauges and still get an abnormal reading. At times, it pegs the gauge.

Using same weight and brand of oil for years now (Pennzoil 15/40) Fram filters (cartridge)Tractor has 3000 hours.

Any suggestions?

Hi.
I would hope its only the oil pressure gadge getting old, but if you try another gadge and have the same result, I then would look at the pressure relief valve to see if its sticking or gummy, other than that some thing is blocking the oil ways inside the motor and holding the oil back, then you would have to find help from someone thats familiar with your engine.
