The 35 was equipped with the Continental Z-134 engine but so were some other models. Does it have 6 forward gears (3 speeds x 2 ranges)? Is the front axle and steering arrangement similar to an 8N? Can you post a picture?

Thanks for the reply, what else i found is" Z134A500P/ engine casting number?, i think i posted the engine only serial number the first time. Its is a 3 speed and L/H range tranny, there is again a casting number on the left side of the tranny: MHF 182 840 M2.
The steering system is a close cousin to my 2N system.
It has 2 lever hydrulic controls, the temp gauge is on the left side of dash and oil press on the right, key is right side under steering wheel.
no photo available, just that after years of "attention" i like to believe the hand painted "massy 35" is right, but i gots to prove it.
Tried the serial numbers on this site, but nothing came up, then again i don't think i have the correct number yet either, where to find it???
Thanks again

134 engine, 6 speed tranny and Ford-Ferguson type steering all add up to 35.

I like this simple addation stuff, owner confessed[embrassed] to being bored and doing the re-paint on the hood, we tracked and got the history of who owned it, etc and we know now its a 1964, started life as a haul back unit for the local ex when ox/horse pulls were held, so it,s good for the 4000lb plus working range:)
Of course the id tag is long gone and no numbers found to date, thats ok.
thanks for the help and your time to all

If the MF 35s are like their MF 135 children, the Serial tag should be either on the left, lower dash, or near the voltage regulator. Since the MF 35 was made after the name consolidation, the tag should read Massey-Ferguson made under the following patents (and there is a long list) with the serial number that reads sort of like an american social security number in a silver box.
