Got a loader for a massey ferguson 35. Got it all put on and hooked the valve up. The loader is hard to get to run. Sometimes it will run fast, sometimes slow, sometimes not at all. I have found out that moving the 3 point arms all the way up helps the loader move. I have also noticed moving the drag levers sometimes helps as well. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to get it to work better or more consistantly?

Have you tried moving your selector lever to the "Constant Pumping" position?

constant pumping position is with the 3 point hitch lever all the way up right? If it is then that is where i have had it. I was told by someone i needed to chain my three point hitch arms all the way down then raise my lever all the way to constant pumping position?

There are two levers. The outside lever is the draft control. The inside lever is the one you need to have in constant pumping. The constant pumping position is labeled.

It sounds like you already have a valve on top of the liftcover that will divert the oil either to the three point or to a remote cylinder. There are several different brands and types of those valves and they can be very confusing to use. If you will email me with a description of the valve you have or a picture of it would even be better I can probably tell you what you need to do to make it work.

Finally got it figured out. I went and bought a little valve that the local dealer had. It just has a lever. The lever in upright position is in nuetral and the 3 poiint hitch works. When the lever is pushed backwards the front loader works. And when its pushed forward you can run a hyrdraulic disk or piece of equipment in the rear. To work the loader you just use the 3 point hitch lever. Very simple to use and it only cost 60$ brand new.

You need a diverter valve to isolate the 3 point whilst you"re working the loader.

Stephen:

Higher revs sometimes work to get the oil flowing.

If the loader won't start up when I switch the diverter over, I sometimes have to drop the loader a bit to get the oil flowing.

Getting the diverter valve to the proper position seems a bit tricky. If it positively won't flow, Shut off, switch the diverter, and then start up. It should pump then.

You have tried additional oil in the tranny?

Operating a diverter valve seems to be more art than science. Good luck with it.

I have tried adding more oil in the tranny. I don't believe i have a diverter valve. I have a valve that sits on top of the plate between your legs. Would a diverter valve be a better option?

That's what I mean by a diverter valve. I may have the wrong name on it.
