Hi.Has any one discovered a 100% way of fixing a leak in an engine block.I have a massey 135 the leak is up above the fuel pump on the outside of the water jacket.which is best stick welding, brazing, plastic metal.I'm hoping to fix it with it still on the tractor.Any advice would be welcome especially from someone who has repaired several with success.

HELLO !! do not weld the block ! unless you are taking it out and have a specialized welding shop do the repair TRUST me i have seen lots of screw ups my idea grind block in the area until nice clean surface and see how far crack goes ? then guys used to drill holes at extreme end of crack to stop spreading and use cast iron threaded pins to repair or a very good epoxy for this repair seems to hold up okay and i sujest use of MOROSO ceramic block sealer yeah racing stuff used in extreme racing engines where heads are ported to extremes and sometimes they leak so this is what they use i dont think its cheap but works excellent if it was me and engine needed rebuild i would have professionally welded
if engine good i would drill holes at ends of crack and grind a good area and groove out crack a bit and use best epoxy i could find and the moroso stuff that should make her GOOD again THANX!!

Link Go to the above site and read the repairs done on 5.9 cummins and omc marine and 2.5 liter gm valve seats.Doing metal stitching. We used to do this emergency repair with standard bolts if the area was available to a drill. 1950"s out in the boondocks. Ray-s
