I own an MF35, 3 cyl perkins, dual clutch, hydraulic & transmission fluid is the same,..one reservoir with 2 drain plugs; My mechanic says to use SAE 90 fluid; previous discussion forum item noted that SAE30/40 is correct & NOT to use 90 weight; I used "Cobra" DHF Multi purpose fluid for transmission, gears & hydraulics; not sure of its weight but appears fairly light; should I be using SAE 30/40?, could the lighter fluid, if not correct, make it hard to get out of gear?

Haven"t been following the discussions, but the data labels call for SAE30 in the engine for summer, 20 weight in the winter (?). Gearbox, hydraulics, rearend call for 90 weight in the summer and 80 weight in the winter. 30w seems awful thin in this application.

Aaron; Thanks for reply; For the gear oil, I trust this is the same as 80W90 oil?; which so I'm told is about the same as SAE90?
Any idea how I can get an "Owners/Maintenance Manual" for my '68 MF35,..not a Shop Manual,... or Parts manual,... but the owners manual that you would get when purchasing a new tractor?,...Greg.
