I have just bought a P3 grey fergie to restore and would appreciate any advice on how to improve the starting. It will start after a bit of grinding & heating and once started will "race" or rev for about 1 min before settling to normal running at any throttle setting. Produces grey exhaust smoke when grinding and reving then settles to almost none. Slight blow at the breather but I have seen a lot worse on newer engines. Any suggestions? Was thinking about sending the injectors off for checking to start with.

Also would appreciate any locations of where I could track down how the tractor should look when restored - wiring is non existant and little is left of the dash switches controls etc
