The 35 came home today after its brake job. Shoes and axle seals were all it needed; the parts were in stock and reasonably priced at $135 CDN with taxes. The only wrinkle was that the brake shoes came without holes for the springs as they are apparently a generic product. Even with the extra machining my neighbour did the work in five hours at a reasonable rate.

The snowblower went on this afternoon as well, despite the mockery of family members.

I will bet they are not mocking you today. Little taste of winter here in southern ont. Get to play in the white stuff at last. Rick.

Great that you are have your MF35 back together. 5 Hrs to do the brakes and seals is fast work. Was the inner bearing and axle seal replaced as well? I like the snow plower option. Do you have a picture?

As an after thought, I have used a local clutch and brake reliner to resurface drum brakes, rebuild pressure plates, clutche disc, etc.

This snowblower isn't overly pretty, but it is solid and true, and the guy sold it to me for $300 CDN. He ran it on a small Ford hydraulic diesel. Nice tractor. The 35 plays with the 5' blower in low range, though high range is too fast to use. The previous owner had had a pair of six inch wings for the Lucknow when he ran it on another tractor, but a search of his garage failed to turn them up. It seems to work fine with the 5'6" tractor width. I don't think I would buy a 6' model if I were replacing it, because the narrow blower is very easy to operate.

That Lucknow looks like McKee, except for the blue paint. I ran into one problem using a blower that was narrower than the tractor tires. When you have a situation where the snow is packy when you blow and then freezes over night, you can't scrape as wide the next time. I use an Allied 6'8" blower on a 65 diesel. Great combination!

Rod. Thats a nice looking setup. We had two lucknow blowers on the farm. They are made about 1 hour drive from where I grew up. Best blowers out there from what I have seen. We had a 6.5 foot run by a 165 diesel. It would walk through 4 foot hard drifts. I hooked it up to my 35 diesel once but it made it fairly light in the front end. If you ever see another deal like that let us know on the site. Rick.
