Hi,
I recently picked up a MF1650 (little lawn tractor) and I don't have any idea what kind of maintenance and how often I should do it. This is my first tractor. Can anyone tell me what kind of oil to put in and anything else I should worry about?

John,
I am surprised no one else has replied to your message yet. This is my first time on this board.

My best advice would be to get an owners and service manual for your tractor. These should be available from any Massey Ferguson dealer. They may also be available from this website (See the top listing on the left side of the screen.)

Otherwise, as far as oil -- depending on the climate where you live. I would use 30W detergent or 10W-30 oil. I use 10W-30 Quaker State in my MF40. Also, check and clean or replace the air-filter. Lubricate all zerk fittings with regular auto grease, and oil any other moving parts.
