I have a MF 180 tractor with a bad multi power transmission and would like to replace it with a standard 6 or 8 speed transmission. I would like to know the range of tractors models that the transmission would interchange with the MF 180. I would appreciate any info on this topic.

Thanks Thomas

It depends on how old it is the early models had a 10 spline three point pump with it the 6 or 8 speed transmission from an early MF135, MF150, MF165, MF175 MF180 or an MF1080 will bolt right in place of the multipower transmission. The Late model of those tractor and the MF200 series AG tractor starting with the MF245 up through the MF1085 the three point pump on them has 21 spline if that is what you have then any of those tractors with the 21 spline pump will work.

big dean, so you are saying a 180 uses the same transmission as a 135?

I am saying it will fit right in where the multipower transmission came out. Some of the gear ratio may be a little different and some of the cases may be a little heavier but the one from an MF135 will work. I believe you have to use the top from the MF180. Big Dean
