I need a distributor drive shaft assembly, for a continental f162 but I would think that an f 124 or 140 will work.

thank you!

I would guess that all distributor models probably use the same driveshaft, however different makes of distributors were used, Autolite and Delco-Remy for sure and maybe others too. What model of tractor is the 162 out of and what distributor manufacturer is it? Where abouts do you live?

I live about 45 miles southeast of Columbus Ohio.
The F162 is out of a 1941 model 81(should be a F124 but this is a replacement for the origanal,so the previous owner told me????). It is an autolite. I did have this part at one time but have moved 3 times during this restoration and well you can see that somehow now it has disappeared. This is the roughest tractor that I have ever seen that is all intact. It sat outside for nearly 15 years before I bought it.

Found two of them here, the one I'll send you is from an Autolite, actually from a MH 101 Junior 124 or 140. It is identical to another one I have here from a Delco Remy distributor, same engine (140) from an early 60's MH swather. Anyways, my email address is:

[email protected]

If you email me with your home mailing address, I'll get this away for you in a day or two by regular mail (Canada Post). By coincidence, my latest project is a mH 20 (1947), pretty much the same as your 81 I would think. It has the original 124 Continental. The 162 you have should make that little 81 really snort.

I'm pretty sure that i have one or two of those kicking around here in my parts pails. I'll check and get back to you later today. If I find one I'll send it off to you and then I'll let you know what my mailing costs were and you can reimburse me for that, the part will be a Christmas present if I find it. I'm north of the border up in Alberta. I'll get back to you later.
