Im missing the toolbox from under the running board on my 44 and have the sheet metal to make one but I need some dimensions. Pictures would be helpful too.
Also, if anyone has a hillside hitch on a 44 I would like to talk to you. None of the manuals that I purchased have anything in them about a hillside hitch. Thanks for any help!
Frank

Thanks for the measurements Fred. They will sure help in building the box. Now do you have any info on the Hillside Hitch? Even something from a manual?
Thanks
Frank

Busy right now, trying to finish up with corn harvest. If you don't get an answer on the toolbox, maybe I can get a picture or two along with dimensions next week.Someone needs to make a few and sell them.I am sure parts suppliers would love to have some to sell.Opportunity knocks.

Bob,
There were replicas made by a jobber, for a parts
dealer, in Canada, about 2 or 3 years back. The
price was about...$60.each, I believe. Saw this
info on one of the net Massey sites. The seller
had a page stating he tore down a hundred MH's a
year, to partout. Kind of takes your breath away,
with words like that. My guess on his name is
Damon. Probably a search for old iron parts would
pull him up. I'm referring to the toolbox issue.

A hillside hitch is used with a plow on hillsides to keep the plow cutting the same amount whether on the up hill side or down hill side of the land. I had one once on a semi mount that was hydralic. That was really slick.

Yeah a couple guys I know have hillside hitches on their plowing tractors and just not having to adjust the drawbar by getting off the tractor makes it really nice. My 44 has holes at even spacing to lock the drawbar at different angles and i have to use them until I get the piece made to link the drawbar to the hillside hitch. Nobody has gotten back to me as to what the piece looks like. Im soon just going to have to fake it and make something that works. Still havent gotten any measurements on the toolbox either. So anyone who can help out on either of these 2 pieces PLEASE contact me!
