I am in the process of purchasing a MF 200 Compact Tractor that I assume was maunfactured by Hinomoto. I have not been able to find any ref. to this model in Used Tractor Value books or on the internet. Is this a model that was produced in very low numbers? Does anyone have any info or advice?

The 200 compacts came in three models,205,210,and
220. Sales of most compacts were low because of
the time taken for this size to catch on. Most MF
dealers had a great business in the slightly
bigger utility tractors and were not caught up in
these until later years. The engines sounded rough
but they were generally good tractors. To me a 4wd
is very preferable because of the light weight of
the tractors. These also did not have the Live PTO

I believe the Hinomoto built MF model numbers began with the MF205 in 1978. The MF200 tractor dates from '64-69; I would suspect built by Massey. If you have an MF200 loader mounted on a Japanese tractor, a search for make, model and serial no. of the tractor would be wise. Parts for the Hinomoto's are difficult.
