I am looking at purchasing a MF rough terrain forklift. I cannot find serial plate, it has 14.9 x 24 tires and 16 inch on the back. The drive system is some type of shuttle system, transmission has 4 low and 4 high gears. This looks like a farm tractor turned around backwards with a forklift mast hooked to it. The 48 inch forks will slide to the outside of the mast 5 ft. Lowered height is 10 ft, raised height is 12 ft 6in? Where is the plate located? It is a 4-cylinder gas engine. Any info would be a great help. Owner wants $2,000 for this running unit. Is it worth it?

I'd danged sure say it's worth 2 grand, if it's in decent shape at all.

If you don't buy it, how about posting some info about where it's located and contact info?

Hi Robert Massey Ferguson built a MF202 and an MF2200 forklift in the late 1950s and early 1960s in the mid 1960 to the mid 197s they built the MF2500 from 1976 to 1982 they built the MF4500 and the MF6500. There was a lot of companies that used MF tractors and put there forklift mast on them. Most of those if not all have gone out of business. If you can send me a picture of this one I may be able to ID it for you.
