I have mf 265 1984 model. the clutch will not release ran fine the last time i used it. looks like the pressure plate is releasing when the pedal is pushed in. could the friction plate be stuck to the flywheel. It sits outside all summer.

Hi,
In one word "YES".
They can be freed sometimes by engaging second or third gear in low. This allows you to crash the gears in with the engine at idle. Hold the clutch pedal down and stab the brake pedal do not hold it down. There is a danger of damaging the clutch plate but it hasn't happened yet.
I may just work.
Plese let me know
Regards
David
