Well I went to try the loader I put on my MF 135 on the new big Hay Bales. Bummer they are not any lighter this year! I had to add about 1,000 lbs to the back of the tractor to make it safe to move them around. The guy stacked them 3 high with his Case Loader but I was able to get to the top one lift it up a little, back up and lower it down. Glad the forks went up 9 feet or I would have had to pull the top one off the stack! As soon as I put my winter chains on I will have another 200 lbs on the rear tires for more traction. Did not think I would need so much counter weight but I got fooled. Now it lifts so much safer then befor and the rear blade sure can scrap the ground good with the extra weight on it!! I only have to back up about 4+ ft with the forks at 9 ft on level ground in the barn then I drop the bale down to just off the ground to take it to the feeder outside. Should be pretty good at it by next spring moving the 60 tons of it around feeding this winter! Mark H.

Shoot thats a light bale LOL. My bales are around 2000 to 2500 lbs. Or where till I found out I need to use a higher gear when baleing.

The Farmer said they would be lighter this year. Heck they are the same or more then befor! The loader will make it nice but having the stuff sticking out the front and rear makes you watch closer when turning around near the barn!! I got to stop running into things to keep the Wife and Daughter happy since it is there Barn and Cows I am feeding during the winter. Allready stuck the Forks into her shop and took out 16 ft of fence with the Trailer hooked to the forks going down the driveway!! The extra rear weight will solve the stopping problem on the hills. Disk Brakes do no good if the rear tires haven't got any traction! Mark H.
