I removed a rear wheel to change a tire over on my 65 Massey.I removed whole wheel assembly then seperated center disc.I will take rim and tire to repair shop to switch tires. My question now is whats the easiest way to reinstall all this?..Should I mount the center disc back on the tractor first? What are the four sliding assembly pieces all about?..Thanks for any help.

HI,
First of all have an assistant to help you. You will probably find it easier to mount the cast centre on the axle hub first. Make sure there is a support (axle stand) under the axle housing and a jack that will allow you to raise and lower the axle in small amounts. Offer the tyre and rim into place over the cast center and if necessary lever the wheel with a bar at the bottom. When the bars align over the clamps locate and secure. Set your wheel width as required and tighten. Check again after an hour's work. The wheels are called PAVT Wheels which is "Power Assisted Variable Track".
