My 1010 diesel tightened up and will not start, though it turns slowly and blows black smoke. Mechanics give differing opinions, so I am looking at worst case scenario. Who manufacture the 1010? Are parts available? I am frustrated, and since the compact tractor market in Iowa, can you believe it, is mighty small. Not much epertise around here

Made in Japan by Toyosha Hinomoto. If your MF dealer can't get parts, you might check with homesteadtractor.com for new or used parts or a complete used engine.

Thanks for bringing a smile. When I tried to post, I couldn't get the browser (or the site) to go to the page that notifies that the message has gone through. Finally, it came up and I checked to make sure it cleared, only to see that it had gone through every time. Huh? Duh? Howzattagan? If you can tell me how to delete the extras, (in case that ever happens again), I'll appreciate it.
