My 274 diesel is having some electrical problems. As in when the weather is nice and warm (summertime) the machine starts beautifully. In the winter or colder weather I have to turn off the pto and hydraulics and all that and than jump the machine. There is no lights on it that work due to ripped or absent wires. The owner before me really neglected this machine. I would like to use it for some snow removal this winter as it has a Frey loader on it. So far this machine is tuff and I love it. I was thinking of replacing the battery and the alternator. Any ideas?

I have a block heater on mine also(MF165), I put a heavy duty appliance timer in it. I set the timer for 2 hrs before I get home from work or get up in the morning so it's ready to go. Saves on electric, not having to run it all nite or day.

Why not install a block heater? My 175 diesel wouldn't even pretend to start in the winter unless I plug the block heater in overnight.

I'm also looking for a replacement radiator for a Massey Ferguson 470 payloader.

The radiators are different whether gas or diesel.
This unit was built by Michigan for MF from'68-
'72 if you could find a Michigan unit. Chuck
