Great looking work Willy. You say it's a water tank? Where & how will it be used?

Jeff

Here is a link to my Photo Site on the building of it. It will be for fighting fires and goes on my 1994 Freightliner tomorrow. I will take a few pictures of it being loaded with a Large Cat Front End Loader lifting it. I contract the truck with the USFS to help fill small fire engines on Wildland Fires during the summer. I had to work fast cause winter is coming and I need it ready for next year since I sold my other one to get the money to build the 2,500 gal one this time!! Mark H.

Very interesting stuff. I'm always amazed at the things going on I never new existed. I guess the truck has it's own pump to draw water & discharge, would have to be a high volume pump. It all runs off the trucks transmission, like a fire truck?

It has 2 Gasoline Pumps one is a 475 GPM Main Draft 4" Pump and the other is a 135 GPM High Pressure 2" Pump for smaller fire hoses. The Main Draft Pump can also be used to fill other larger fire equipment thru a 2 1/2" fire hose pumping out of the tank or a river, pond ect. Mark .

BTW, I meant to ask you what you fabbed your loader bucket out of. I'm having no luck finding one close by, looks like I'll have to make it.

I used a bent peice of steel that was for sliding logs on! It worked out great and was just the right shape after I put ends on it. Mark H.
