Weep hole on bottom of 255?

I noticed some fluid on the floor this morning after I finished mowing with my 255 yesterday. Not a lot-just enough to concern me.

I have traced it back to a small hole-may 1/4 inch or so-on the bottom of the tractor-near the transmission-not towards front where there would be oil.

I am 99% the fluid coming out is Permatran.

Anyone have any idea what may be causing that?

Lots of tractors drain the clutch area via a hole and cotter pin stuck in it to keep it from clogging.

The idea is to keep oil (leaks) from building up to the point of contacting the clutch (disc) and rendering it useless.

So if yours is permatran then I guess your front tranny seal is a leakin. But for a tractor split, unless you need a new clutch, you can replace oil for a long time before you equal the cost and trouble of a split.
