I have a MF180 (good engine) with multipower transmission that has gotten to the point that it will barely pull itself up a hill. The aux hyd pump has been bad for some time because my front end loader won't lift much. Last check on pressure at the quick disconnect fittings was 1100 pounds, about 400 hours ago. It has gotten worse since then. My question is - are my "power" problems caused by the bad aux pump which I believe works the multipower, or have I a more basic problem. I only use the tractor about 50 hours per year.

All the multipower will do is if it does not have pressure enough to shift it in to high it will stay in low. The multipower or the auxiliary pump being weak should not have any effect on the power of the engine. When you say it will Barely pull it's self up a hill if the engine RAMS are dropping that would be an engine power problem. If the RAMS stay where they were or close to where they were when pulling the hill and the tractor movement slows down that would be your main clutch slipping. If I can be of further help email me.
