My dad and G'dad ran MF when I was a kid on the farm. I'm in the central Kentucky area. Both have passed away awhile ago and now the farm is mine to run. I've got two JD's now, 2950 and 4010, each are about 85 HP and neither enjoy running my 15' bushhog. Both, especially the 4010 seem to be money pits. I keep putting money in and not getting much work out. I want to trade it in for a good used MF in the 100 PTO HP range but I'm not familiar with model numbers in the 25 years old or less range. Any help would be greatly appreciated on what models to look for. I want 2WD, no cab, no frills good crop machine. I use my 4WD JD2950 with cab and loader for winter feeding and hay baling, (hate that dust), but I need a no frills 100HP for summer pulling. Thanks

I would recommend a MF 1105.....100hp or a 1135.....120hp. We have a 1135 we bought new with about 6700 hrs of use on it. Have had very good luck with it and the 354 perkins engine is pretty much indestructable. Our tractor was dyno'd at about 150hp. Nice cabs with lots of room and a great buy for little money.....a good one should bring around 10,000.00 here in Illinois. Recommend getting one with long axles if your looking for something for tillage work. Good luck with your purchase, just ask if you need more help.

mfjoe, what models do you have? I have 1150 wich has 1000 hours on it but I believe it is 11000 or even more (just got it and don't know its history).
Is that 1130 with 210 hp still in work or just for fun?
