I am cleaning up to repaint six front weights made by Massey-Ferguson. I bought them at auction several years ago and am just now cleaning them up to use. Any of you guys with parts books, the number is 506180M1 cast into the back.
My questions are: What color should they be? It looks like gray now but should they be silver?
How much do they weigh? (I guess 80 to 100)
Were these made for the 95's or 97's made in the 1960's? Thanks for all info! Tom

They are silver, not sure if it's the lighter or darker shade. Atleast that's what they are on our 285. What are you putting them on? I know massey made a few different styles, but the one I'm thinking of mounts onto a 6" x 1/2" steel plate on the front of the tractor. We have these on both our 285 and 165. I think they will also fit the 3xx series. They mount w/ a square nut placed in the slot in the weight, and then a 5/8" bolt w/ a thick square washer on it is tightened up and holds it in place. You need to check these a few times the first month they are on, but after that they usually hold.

These sound like they have a different mounting system. I will try to post a couple of pictures soon and will note some details. Thanks.
