This is a Picture of the MF 135 Orchard Axle Assembley minuse the Trumpet. I allways wondered what getting into it would be like to replace the Disk Brakes! This is the Left Side Trumpet that when removed allows you to remove the Rear Differential also. Parts in line are the Rear Differential, Trumpet Spacer Plate with one side of the Disk Brake contact surface(the other side is on the Trumpet Housing), inside Disk, Expanding Unit that appleys brakes, outside disk and planitary gear assmbley that goes on the end of the Trumpit. The Gear laying on the side is what the 3 planitary gears rotate on off the axle to lower the ratio of the axle. This allows the axle to have more strength having another set of gearing on the end so the axle floats. To change the Disks you don't need to disassemble the planitarys off the trumpet but you do need to remove the trumpet assembley, spacer plate to get access to them. After that the disks, center section can be slipped off the axle. Hope this may help some in thinking of tearing into the trumpit to replace them. It did me now that I have done it. Realy heavy parts to deal with! Mark H.

Yes but the 135 Orchard uses the Heavier Rear Axle assembley like on the MF165 Tractor. I do know they don't build them like this anymore!! They designed it to allmost last a lifetime as long as you change the fluids! Mark H.
