Not sure what the Ground position on PTO shifter does,Engine position engages rear PTO, I think I should get a manual. Is there anyway to get more downward pressure on hitch arms? I am using a blade to stripe top layer of grass, not working to good.

Ground speed PTO was used for things like PTO rakes etc. You can hang a tractor wheel weight (with large center hole) over top hitch point of blade. Maybe a small chain to hold it.

Try tilting the blade and putting it at an angle so that it digs into the ground. After you get it ripped up, you can go back and smooth it out.

The ground position on your PTO is practically useless nowdays. It turns the shaft in proportion to your ground speed; independent of the engine speed. You don't have downward hydraulic pressure. Additional weight is the option. HTH, Cosmo

The best thing i ever used my ground speed for was unclogging my round bailer. It works forward or backwards,You can put the tractor in reverse and just bump it backwards and it will loosen the haw on the roller so it pulls out easier.
