1) Where do the headlights mount on the Pony?
2) How do you change the battery? Do you have to remove the steering arm, and then the left side panel?
Okay, that was 3 questions, but one was a two-parter! Thanks....Stan

Stan,
The left side curtain has a slot cut out of the curtain to slide down over the steering arm. That's so you don't have to remove the arm. At least that's the way this '51 is.

Mine"s also a 1951 Pony. It has no slot, just a round hole. Maybe I"ll cut a slot, it sure would make things easier in the future. Thanks...Stan

1. Mine are attached to the lower hole on the radiator support.
2. Just remove the left panel and the battery hold down.

Thanks Ken. One more question... how do you remove the left panel without removing the steering arm? My steering box shaft goes right through a hole in the panel. Thanks....Stan

I don't have any of my Ponys here but the way I remember them they have a cut out that goes over the steering arm that lets the panel go over the steering arm. If you don't have an answer soon I will let you know next week.

Ken

I have two ponys a 52 & a 49 and they have slots for steering arm but u still have to take arm off to get panel off. The lip of panel is behind the dash edge and does not allow u to pull it out with steering arm on.
