How many ball bearings are supposed to be in the steeering shaft and nut assembly? The recirculation tubes have a tab that (on my assembly) are bent blocking access to the recirculation tubes. Should they be covering the recirculation tubes or should they be directing ball bearings into the recirculation tubes, creating two separate pathes for the ball bearings?

Thanks
Jeff

Hi,
The parts book gives the number as 28. As the name suggests the 'recirculation' should allow the balls to travel back and forth through the tubes as required.

Parts sketches can be found at www.traktordelar.nu
The site is in Swedish. When the page is opened click on a yellowish field on the right side with the text "sprngskisser och tekniska data" then click on "Massey Ferguson" and then "Massey Ferguson 35". Steering is called styrning in Swedish. I hope wiewing those will helpa bit.
