Someone please tell me why the gas does not shut off with the float. No the float does not have any holes in it. And yes it is adjusted to a 3/8 inch height. After I shut the machine off and leave the gas on it fills the carb bowl and then continues to seep out all and any openings it can find. I can't see any spot on the float where it could be binding or rubbing on the bowl wall. This can't be all that difficult a problem.. Also, is there any product I can buy to seal a float if it does develope a leak?? jim

Remove the needle and seat.Clean them up real good.It may only be varnish so use some choke cleaner on the two pieces. Then with the top laying on a good flat and solid surface and the seal reinstalled , put a (big)punch on the needle and tap(lightly) the punch with a small hammer. That should make a new sealing area in the seat if it is brass as they usually are.
