The hydraulics lower way to fast on the loader even faster with a big bale! It is hard to barely push the control and I was afraid I might mess up and hurt some one or bust the loader mount stopping the load after it went to fast. I had this valve and knew it was for metering but not sure I wanted to raise it so slow going up. The Metering Valve is one way metering so it can go up fast full flow but for lower it you can adjust it to any speed you want to completely stopped! Just a small knob to set and can be changed if I want it faster for light loads. Works great lifting weight it goes slow enought anyway but going down it went so fast it only took less than a second to drop all the way if you pushed the control in to much. Now it is fixed!  Also added a set of Manure Spears to the bucket! in reply to Willy-N, 09-03-2005 18:54:47
Since I will also using the bucket to clean the barn out, I added 6 Harden Manure Spears out the front 18" past the edge. I do not have to remove them to put the forks on for moving hay and I can still plow snow! This darn thing is turning into a Cadilac Loader now and I got the Spears for free just had to unbolt them off the bucket they were on. I bolted them on with 3 grade 8 bolts each and a section of strap steel over the end next to the back of the bucket. Used 2 bolts on each side of the spear on the back and one thru it on the front.
