Tested the Loader today with allmost 1,200 lbs of filled 18.4 x 16.1 Tires and it lifted them up no problem! Then I chained the loader to the back of my Filled Water Truck (19,800 lbs rear axle weight)and tried to lif the rear tires on the tractor. The loader lifted the rear of the truck about 4" but not off the ground. The Rear Tires on the Tractor allmost lifted but the 1,800 psi relief vave in the control went into bypass. Doing a calulation on the Hydraulics with 2- 1 3/4" Cylinders @ 1,800 psi they should lift at least 19,000 lbs so I maxed the Loader out, front end mount held tractor did not lift the rear tires so the test was a good one. Nuttin wrong with your calc's bro. You got the pounds right; just forgot about the foot part....ft/lbs of force. You need to divide the 19k by the distance to the load from the lift cylinder and I think you will have a more realistic number.

When you read a tractor's specs, like on the 3 pt, they usually specify the distance involved...like 2 ft from lift pins....when they rate the lift capability.

I did the Cals wrong on the cylinders I used 3.14 X the dia so my Sq. Inch of the Cylinders was to large. At 1800 psi the Cylinder Lift is around 5400 lbs. Today I will lift a big Bale with the forks. I mounted them on tempory last night for the test. I have a hard time with my math on angles and testing it is the only way I know for sure. Mark H.

Pi R (radius) square (x pressure, x 2 cylinders/ distance in feet....less losses), apples are round. Grin.

The Power Steering with this load did not even notice the load. I was able to still steer with one finger on the wheel! Not sure I will ever go back to ARM STRONG Steering again! Mark H.
