Took a long time to grind out all the old welds to remove the damaged one. I welded in the new one I made today but still have to re/work the tips of the Loader Arms with new holes and bushings plus beefing them up. Mark H.

Nice job! Looks really stout, don't think those bales will be a problem.

I see you ground off the little aux. brackets from the front of the forks too.

Jeff

Are you fabricating your new bucket cylinder brackets? I used a couple of 5000# load-binder brackets on the loader forks & for the hay fork, 2 angle-iron clips welded back to back. I'm still looking for a bucket replacement.

BTW I see you still have the original 1-way lift cylinders, I do too. My packing seals are a little drippy when it's parked, but otherwise they're smooth.

I can't see from the picture, do you have the 1" pinholes in the front frame? My 701 has a front plate that mounts vertically on the tractor's axle pivot housing(it's pre-tapped for 5/8" bolts). The plate has 1" pinholes that line up w/ the holes in the loader frame. Grade8 1"x6" bolts secure the loader frame to the plate in front.

I removed the 1" Bolts holding the Loader Frame to that plate because it can move back and forth on the bolts. I welded a Angle Iron section to the plate on the loader the 1" bolts went thru. I wanted a solid mount front and rear for mine. I had one leaking cylinder but repacked them today with new Chevron Packing, easy to do except putting the retaining clip back in! I am going to build my own bucket. The cheap ones are 2 thin and the good ones run around 1500.00 to buy! I can get all the steel for around 350.00 to make it out of 1/4" and 3/8" Plate with 1/2" mounting plates for the tip on the loader arm and tilt cylinders 2 on each side going from the bottom to the top of the back of the bucket. This way the conecting points has 8 sections of 18" long stagerd welds to ancor to the bucket with. I will put a harden cutting edge on the leading edge of the bucket plus welded gaurds on the edges of the plate steel on the complete opening to keep the plate from being bent up. I will put gussets down the sides of the loader arms for the tilt cylinders with harden collars to suport the pins going thru them. I will weld hardend collars on all pin holes to make them stronger. I am also going to grind out the cheap tubes in the loader arm tips and replace them with thicker steel tubes and wrap the tip (top to bottom) with a section of 2" X 3/16" strap steel welded on the surface. Mark H.

Yes that is what supports the front end of the loader. It is a section of 10" wide X 1/2" thick Channel Steel. It is bolted on with 4- 3/4" X 3" long Grade #8 Bolts thru the Axle Support Housing. On top of that is another section of 7/16" X 5" X 26" long angle iron that is welded to the loader frame work mounting plate then bolted to the Channel. Makes it easy to take off & on now. Just unbolt it in 3 places and lift it off the tractor. Putting it on is easy also you just sit the loader on the supports then walk around and put the bolts in. There is a kind of a shoe on the rear mount, on it's channel going under the middle of tractor. This one lines up all the bolts when you set it on top of the channel. You just push it back tight against the sides of the mount, put 1- bolt thru each side then 2 bolts down thru each plate. Then you slip in the 2 front bolts tighten them all and your finised. There is a total of 8- 3/4" bolts that hold the loader on the Channel Supports and 8- bolts holding the channels on to the tractor. All bolts are grade #8 and use the exsisting Loader Mounting Holes in the Belly of the tractor. Mark H.

my dad has a 702 loader for sale. it is in excellent condition, has two way lift cylinders. we had taken it off the tractor about 6 years ago to make engine repairs to the tractor and never put it back on. don't have a use for it any more, been sitting in the pole barn ever since.

With sort of minor modifications it will fit the Massey Tractor Original Belly Mounts. Mark H.
