Hi I'm trying to sort out the wiring on a 1976 English MF 135 - and struggling. Does anyone have a wiring diagram ? Following a rebuild, the wiring harness has been reconnected and I suspect it has been done incorrecly. The problem is that the wires to the generator both have power (I don't think they should have). The gen is getting hot and the battery is going flat. The tractor is currently wired for +ve earth, which I am also
suspicious of. The Starter is a Lucas 26264J.
The tractor has new gen, reg, and wiring harness. Wiring diagram most appreciated. Thanks.
Also any other places where I should post this ??

I have a 135 UK like yours. Were all the wires disconnected? the two on the gen are self explanitory, two different sizes. The regulator has a molded connector-

I don't have a diagram, have not been able to find one for the UK tractor.

The regulator on these is odd-the relay disconnects the battery from the charging system when the engine is shut off. It doesn't run through the key switch. I suggest you match up the names of the reg terminals with the generator first. Field to field; battery to battery, etc. A continuity tester may be helpfull-work with the battery disconnectd!

Good luck,

email question if you want.
