I'm looking at this TO-35 with a front loader and backblade that seems to run and work, but has some issues. Like a leak on the diff housing at what apears to be the seal on the right side drive shaft to the wheel. guy said he had work doen on it, but maybe he meant it NEEEDS work.... you never know.

The front loader's bucket is just about rusted through, has been patched with a plate already. Oh, and the loader fades.... meaning leaks or bad controls/ lines... right?

This is the first time to post to this forum, you guys know whats going on, what do you think? what is it worth with these problems?

Hi balky;
Well, as you might imagine, it's kinda hard to tell from here without actually seeing it, and without knowing what part of the country you're in, and how handy you are, and if you've had the opportunity to look at other tractors, and, and, and, and- you get the picture. Most of these old tractors usually require some degree of repair- some more than others; It's what you're willing to commit along with the availability of supplies, parts and resouces, and uiltimately what it's worth to you.
Try checking with nearby tractor dealers or looking at the classified ads for some frame of reference. Also, you might get some info by doing a search on TO-35s right here on this site.
FWIW, I bought a '57 TO-35 in '98 and even though it ran and had some implements included, over the next several years, I have put in about 3 times what I paid for it. Would I do it again? You bet!
