This might be a dumb question, but would the stand pipe under the transfer cap cause the three point to be under powered? It works, but has little lifting power. Could the orings be the culprit? thanks in advance.

Hello,
Yes it is possible for the O rings to have hardened and split. If you have Pressure Control you may not be able to remove the pipe and will not know the condition of the rings at the bottom. There is a PTFE back-up ring inside the O rings on the pipe.
Before you disturb that, have a look at the filter. Depending on your tractor it will be accessed through the LH round side cover or through the triangular under the casing. Don't forget to drain the oil first. These filters are frequently neglected and might be the complete cure to your problem.

The tractor use to have a front end loader which was hooked to the transfer cap and the loader worked great as did the three point. Now it has a selector valve and is leaking around the tractor and the selector valve and the three point and aux has little pressure. It will struggle lifting and if the tractor is at idle it will lower with weight attached. thanks.

Hello again, been on hols for the last week.
A bit of a mixed bag. Make sure that the position of the isolating valve is correct, EXACT!! so that you are not selecting two ports. The leak suggests that you might have some rust or other matter between the faces or even damage where the O rings bear. If you have a combining valve there could be a problem in the valve. If the linkage drops when connected to the Ferguson pump, it should reposition itself, drop and then raise again. If it just drops then it appears that you have the cylinder isolated and the leakage is from the lift cylinder to the case. Seems likely that the problem is in the iso valve.
