My TEA20 and another one nearby had their engines replaced by a Continental from a TO20. You need to do some redrilling to fit the TEA20 flywheel, and the Continental is shorter, so you need to space out the front axle support from the engine. The starter and distributor from the TEA will fit right in.
I'm busy replacing my engine with a more recent diesel, but it's not exactly easy. So far it looks like the mounting for the front axle will be the biggest problem. Also, there may not be enough space above the engine for the gas tank. I might have to section out a couple inches from the tank. I also may need more battery space than what was original.
Back in England, they used to put a kit in the tractor to adapt Perkins 3 cyl diesel engines. If you could get a kit like that shipped over, it would be a help. The engines were similar to what was used in Massey Fergusons later on. (Perkins also supplied 3 cyl gas engines.)
