I have a '58 MF-65 gas. It was running fine then started to lose pwer and then died. Acted like a fuel problem. I have pulled the carb & sediment bowl and they are clean. Fuel seems to flow well. After it dies it will start up again and die after a few seconds. Acts like no gas. Any help would be great. P.S. Big Dean I e-mailed you directly on this from work e-mail, and didn't hear anything, wasn't sure if you had seen the e-mail or not.
P.S.S. Jeff/oh, I'm planing on saturday at the expo if all goes well, hopt to see you there.

Good I look forward to seeing you. I just pulled me TE-20 onto the trailer and I getting ready.

As for you MF-65 I still be it's a fuel thing. Did you check the filter in the carb? The brass elbow (where the fuel line connects) has a screen filter on it. Also could you be just plain running out of gas?

I don't mean to sound condicending, it's just that when I purchased my MF-65 the guys said he couldn't get the engine started. He put in a gallon a fresh gas, and since the engine would not start he knocked $1000.00 off.

I brought it home took a flach light and looked in the tank... Yep there was a gallon of gas in there, but not enough to clear the fuel bowl inlet. Three gallons of gas later she fired right up. I know fuel is expensive, but that gallon cost him $1000.00 bucks.

Jeff

Plenty of gas. I'll check the screens again. I've got the tank drained to remove it and look for rust. Had to put the whole project on hold to put a new clutch in the wifes' car monday.
