Hello there! I'm hoping a few people could help give me a little information. My Dad recently came into ownership of a Mustang. Admittedly I know nothing about Massey's, and he doesn't know as much as he would like (particularly about the Mustang)...

I do not ahve the SN, but what years were this model made and approximately how many were produced? What is the hp of the engine? Is there anywhere I can get some more details about this model, or if anyone knows a lot and would be kind enough to let me contact them with any more questions please let me know.

Thanks in advance!

If you cannot find the serial number tag the serial number is stamped into the top of the transmission houseing. The Mustang was built from 1952 to 1956.Serial numbers start at 1,001 and run to 4,832 in the data book I have on Massey tractors. You are more than welcome to contact me for information on the tractor.I will do my best to help you.E-mail is [email protected]

I don't have a Mustang but I have a Colt, which is a close cousin to the Mustang. The Mustang was first introduced in 1952 and built a few years after the Colt. I read one place that they built them to 1956, but I have never seen one newer than a 54. The Mustang has a 140 cu/in 4 cyl. Continental engine. The Estimated ( the Colt And Mustang were never tested at Nebraska) drawbar hp was 23.91 and the estimated belt hp was 31.59.

They were available with a depth-o-matic hydraulic system and a three point hitch.

I am not sure how many Mustangs were built, but it wasn't a lot.

Contact Jack Holton, Merrill, Iowa. He is extremely knowledgeable about older Massey's and has many contacts in the Massey world. 712-546-6784
