My MH 30 will only run on full choke now. And even then it won"t go over idle. This happened basically out of no-where. I checked all gas lines and passages, in and out of the carb. No blockages or anything. Is there a way to set the float height on these tractors. I"m guessing it"s a fuel starvation issue.

Thanks for the feedback, I'll be sure to check all of this and I'll let you know how it goes. Can't wait for the weekend, hopefully I'll be able to use it, I have a list of things to do.

I had the same problem with my 55 and the problem was in the feul tank. The stand pipe on the sediment bowl in the feul tank was plugged.Just one more thing to check.

The carb probably need to be rebuilt, if you have tried to do so and it still does that it means you have missed something in the main jet area of the carb.

I did check the jet and passage thoroughly , I will check again. Just to make sure that I'm not missing anything there is only 1 jet in this carb, is that correct? Maybe something been lost through the ages.

My tractor did the same thing . I cleaned the carb 10 times. The problem was that the tip of the main needle valve had broken off and ever so slightly restricted the flow of the fuel to the metering stem.. Hope this helps
