I just got a 1963 MF 50 Which is in very decent shape overall except for the way the loader is rigged. It's hooked up to the rear hydraulics, and performs very poorly. I've decided to take it off, and get rid of it. Do I have to remove the isolator valve?? Do I need to do any kind of modifying on the rear hydraulics plumbing, or just plug the holes? How much could it be worth? The cylinders don't leak or anything, it's just that it needs to run off a good auxilary pump. Thanks

Hi Matthew You do not have to remove the isolator valve when you remove the loader just plug all the ports in the valve. If you set the isolator valve right you can use the position and draft lever in the quadrant to operate the three point lift. If I can be of further help email me.

Mathew I own a 50 with a loader, handiest machine I have. You can put a front pump on her they work good when done properly. Just a thought. You might be throwing the baby away with the bath water. Good luck, Lou

I have a 150 that has a pump on the front. It draws oil though a pipe T screwed into the transmission drain plug. The return oil dumps in the fill plug. I think it would have been better to return the oil though a fitting put on the side cover. The pump mounts on a dealer suppied bracket, made by Freeman, I think. The shafts and joints had to be made up. we replaced the pump for $110 from Surplus Center.

I have a MF50 with a loader. The pump is mounted to the front PTO. The pump takes a suction from the reservoir built into the loader frame. I need a pump if you happen to find a place to get one.
