Our Massey Harris 333 battery is always dead when we go out to start it up. A jump gets it going and runs fine. Are there any common spots for a short on this tractor? We did some stuff with a the multimeter but didnt seem to find anything. Thanks

Have you checked your battery to make sure it's good/ it may have a bad cell or cells. The way to check it it by charging the battery completely and then put a load test on it. If you don't have a load tester your battery store does.

It fired right up this spring without having to charge the battery. When I charged it last week there was three low cells. I topped them up with distilled water. Could it still have worn out that quick.

Cells can go bad at anytime. When ever I have trouble like this I start eliminating possible problems. My first check is the battery. My battery store does the load test for free with hopes of selling a new battery.
