I have a '58 TO35 Deluxe gasoline which was bought new by my family and used regularly on the ranch. The engine was overhauled in 1966 by the Massey Dealer. It was garage parked in 1985 and sat until recently. I went to restart it a month ago and found the entire contents of the radiator in the crankcase. I flushed, refilled water and oil, and started it. It runs as great as it did when parked in 1985, but there is a continued slow leak of coolant into the pan. There is no sign of any combustion gas leakage, overheating, etc.1)I have heard there is a possiblity of the lower sleeve seals cracking and allowing coolant to leak into the pan. Being that I found the block was completely empty of water, this seems like a possiblity. How likely is this? 2)If it is the lower sleeve seals (are they rubber?), I assume I will need to install new sleeves and seals. Can this be done with the engine in the tractor and the crankshaft in place? How difficult is sleeve replacment, how many problems might I encounter, and what type of tools are needed for both for removal and installation? Thank you! Rick Iknoian, Clovis California
