What is the year of manufacture of a Pony with serial number PGA3323A?

What else does the serial number tell? Does the second 'A' mean anything?

According to my book it is a 1949 model.No other information listed . Try the Serial Numbers site directly to your left here.

I looked at the S/N chart at the link in the left hand column and it looks a little goofy.

It looks like the numbers fit in the year 1954 but there are no letters with the S/N for 1954. I wonder if the rest of the MH Pony S/N's are correct in the chart.

PGA is Pony-Gas-Adjustable front axel.. I believe the A on the end is High Altitude.RAY-S
