Hi folks. Well I had to get work done on the 35 that I wasn't planning to do yet.
First I noticed bad corrosion on the rims due calcium fill. It wasn't there a few months back. They are power adjust rims. So I called my local MF dealer and the parts guy said he didn't deal with the old stuff. He said I would have to talk to someone else and then put me on hold, and then hung the phone up while I was holding! So I thought scru u, you're not the only game in town.
Then I called the local NH dealer. The Ford 2000s used the same rims. The guy was very helpful, ordered in new rims, and got the tires and tubes mounted.
But there are 2 little ramp clamps on each rim, 3 of them wouldn't come off because the screw pin head broke off.
So then I called Fawcett's in St. Mary's Ontario, and they had some used ones for 10 bucks each. New ones were over 30. Quick drive there and they're mine. Then I asked about fenders, they didn't have any good used ones, but lots of new ones in the red colour I needed. Cheaper than from the dealer, well made, and from Turkey of all places. Oh well, that's better than supporting red China communists by buying their cheap crap.
Cleaned up the brakes, all new bolts where needed, new red "Serif" brand paint from Canadian TSC, and new flashing lights, with built in tail lights it's all done. Next year I'll tackle the front sheet metal.
I'll plow snow without calcium and how well it works. Think I can get away with it? Maybe I'll get bolt on weights if needed. Can they still be found? Are they made to fit a variety of tractors? Thanks!

If you don"t mind me asking how much for the rims and fenders? My rims are good except for one place on each. I am sure they will rust through before I am ready.

Thanks

Sure. The rims were $1140 total for both including taxes, and fenders were $110 each, dealers wanted $150 each. Canadian money.
