hi, Ive got injector pump problems on this thing, its been sittin for probably 3 years till i bought it a few days ago, (not sure of year yet)put fuel in it today, bled line up to pump, pulled it up the driveway and it started right up! well it missed and ran uncontrollably wide open. the throttle had no effect nor did the kill switch. so i had to shut the fuel off to shut it down, now it don't have much for fuel pressure, and it will kinda run for a bit with a wiff of either. So whats the deal? i purged the air from the fuel system. can the avarage guy rebuild the pump? are parts still avalible for the pump? or is it so complicated that its gotta be brought in somewhere? thanks

sounds like the pump has problems. unless you are an experienced diesel mechanic, i would stay out of the pump. send it to a reputable pump shop, and they can rebuild it. i can recomend a couple around N Va. later
