I have a gas MF 35. Under load condtion, going into gear or engaging the PTO the engine stalls out. Any Ideas on where to start trouble shooting?

TIA! David

I'm gonna assume that your spark plugs are fresh and gapped correctly, your centrifugal advance is working on your distributor, and that the intitial timing is on.
Also, that your fuel bowl inlet filter isn't plugged with crud.

You might try adjusting the main jet on the carburetor. The manual should say something about if it's too lean, the tractor will backfire when the throttle is pulled open from idle. If so, unscrew the main needle a bit and try again.
