I too have a 1655, and have had 0 luck finding parts. I need a new front/mid PTO shaft. I can still use my mower deck, but the previous owner welded a coupler on the front portion for a snowthrower attachment, and I had to cut the shaft to repair some of the steering and idler arm bushings. Have you had any luck finding parts??

Massey Ferguson sold their lawn & garden line to Snapper back in the 1980s Snapper use to have parts for the 1600 series lawn tractors. I don't know if they still do or not or even if they are even still around but that might give you a place to start looking.

Thanks for the reply, I know that Massey sold to Snapper but I heard a rumor that Snapper sold the Massey to Simplicity and Simplicity destroyed all the dies used to make Massey parts in order to Phase out all the older Massey Lawn Mowers. Do you know if this is true????? ????

Thanks, John
