A guy I work with wants to sell me a MF 35(gas). I am new to these older small tractors, so I was curious if $1500 was a good price with a five foot Squeller shreddar. He says that he has had no problems with it ever, other than general maintenance. Please let me know what you think. Thanks.

Not sure where you are located but a MF 35 in my area run anywhere from $1900 (runs good looks rough) to $3200 (Refurbished). These prices are without implements. Not sure why you want to buy a tractor. If you want to do work with it and it runs without smoking it sounds like a good deal.

That's a pretty good price. If the tracor runs at all, it's well worth that.

I paid $3400 CDN for my 1961 Perkins diesel and thought it was a pretty good deal.

Today I spent six hours on a rough piece of land with the tractor and a 5' Whistler. At times the implement was in the air from striking hidden rocks, but the two seem to work very well together.

I am in Athens Ont. What do you know about a MH 50 high crop? Do you go to Athens steam fair in July?

All I know about Massey Harris tractors I learned hauling wood and running a planer with an old 30. Loved that beast. It would start at first turn of the starter, regardless of the cold in the winter.

I've never been to a steam show on land, but get a big kick out of the steam launches which meet every year at Chaffey's Locks.
